Installing 1Password

Once you have finished downloading 1Password, you can follow these instructions to get up and running quickly.

End-User License Agreement

By installing 1Password you agree to this End-User License Agreement.

Open the Disk Image

When the download is complete, you’ll see a disk image in your downloads folder (often your Desktop or in Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard, the Downloads stack in your dock.)

Double click on the disk image to open it.

Installing 1Password

With the disk image open, drag the 1Password icon to your Applications folder.

You can either drag the 1Password icon from the Disk Image onto the Applications shortcut in the Disk Image window, on your Dock, or in Finder.

Setting up 1Password

1Password comes with great built-in help that you can access from the 1Password menu bar. Just click on the Help menu and choose 1Password Help.

You can also access the 1Password Help documents in your web browser. To learn more about installation and setup we recommend our Getting Started guide.
