IMPORTANT! Leopard users who have their Firewall enabled and are using the Sync to iPhone feature need to follow the recommended upgrade steps carefully to ensure upgrading does not cause issues. Detailed upgrade instructions can be found in the Recreating Keychains to Resolve Leopard Firewall Permission Issues section of the Using the 1Password Interchange Format document. This is only applicable to those who have not yet migrated to the Agile Keychain (see Using the Agile Keychain for details).

This update includes the new Agile Keychain — a new format for the 1Password database that provides the ability to sync without requiring MobileMe. For more details please see Keeping Your Passwords in Sync with 1Password 2.9 on Switchers' Blog.

2.7.0 Release Notes

This release adds a fantastic new feature that has been in the works for over a year! Drum roll please....Go&Fill Directly in the Web Browser!! This has been the #1 requested feature by users for a long time now and we nailed it in this release!

Now you can access all your Go & Fill 1Click bookmarks directly in your web browser with our new Bookmarks window. You can open the window by selecting Bookmarks from the main 1Password toolbar menu or via the ⌘⌥\ (Command+Option+Backslash) keyboard shortcut. Once open you can search for the bookmark or navigate through all your forms using the Select Bookmark menu.

This integrated Bookmarks window allows you to go to a web site, fill the 1Password login details, and optionally submit the form, all in one sequence that is much easier to use than the browser's built in Bookmarks or typing the site address in the URL bar.

This version includes a number of new features, including Canadian and US Bank account information in the Wallet section and a new automated backup.

Important bug fixes include a fix for the problem with exporting to Palm and iPhone as well as a fix for "rangeOfString:" error message frequently reported in Firefox browser.

We also started updating the Import Assistant and plan to further improve the import features in version 2.5.7.

This important update fixes a problem in Rebuild Keychain File feature.

Also, please note that if you used Xslimmer or any similar space-saving utilities on Leopard then Safari will have problems accessing 1Password keychain and you might see "Failed to decrypt" error messages.

1Password 2.5 is finally here! This update is required because the name of the program changes in version 2.5 from 1Passwd to 1Password.
